Uphill
Riders get two chances to complete an uphill course in the fastest time. If you fall, you can remount at the same point or lower than where you fell. There are separate courses for beginner, advanced, and elite.
Elite and Advanced Uphill will start after Advanced Downhill is complete.
Individual starts - 2 minutes between competitors.
Elite Uphill --- Elite Uphill starts near a kiosk - a short walk up from the gravel road along I-90 (Preston-Issaquah Trail). It is steep and rocky - but there is a mostly smooth line if you can manage it, but it's definitely not easy! Be prepared to start on a steep rocky hill - because falls are likely :)
Advanced Uphill --- Advanced Uphill starts at the top of the Elite Uphill race and heads back up a section of the Advanced Downhill course before joining the Beginners Uphill course. It is likely the course will end just before a difficult switchback very close to the trail junction where the beginners uphill course starts.
Beginners Uphill --- Beginners Uphill starts on the same trail as the downhill about 100m past the end of the rocky creek bed. It is pretty smooth and not that steep, but still a good challenge for tired legs.
